CNR, CRRA and CRCM Guide
In the next few months, we will be replicating the 2017 season Portuguese Rally Championships, with 22 weekly rallies. This is a brief guide to understand the championship format.
First of all, despite being called "Portuguese Championships", by any means we are restricting entries in our championships. Everyone from every nation is invited to register and rally with us. We love to see the colors of worldwide flags on our standings charts.Starting next Sunday, and ending in July, we will be replicating the Portuguese National Championships (CNR 2017 edition), alongside with the two major Portuguese regional championships: "Campeonato Regional de Ralis dos Açores" (CRRA) - Azorean Regional Rally Championship - and "Campeonato de Ralis Coral da Madeira (CRCM) - Madeira Rally Championship. For these championships, we will use the same number of stages, weather and service areas as in the real rallies of the 2017 season.
This means that we will not be running "one" championship, but three simultaneous championships, each one with its own standings tables. Each championship will have its own Individual Classification, a Teams Championship, a two wheel drive Championship, and Class Standings, for classes with at least five registered drivers.
All you need to know will be posted in this blog. You can check the championships regulations here, register here (single registration for all three championships), download the number plates here, and follow the standings tables for CNR, CRRA and CRCM.
You will be able to choose any of the R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and RGT cars present in the http://rbr.onlineracing.cz/ plugin. You can choose different cars for each championship, however you must use the choosen car for all the events of that championship.
As in reality, there are events that score points for multiple championships. The Azores Airlines Rally, part of the FIA ERC, scores points for the CNR and the CRRA, and the Rally Vinho da Madeira, part of the FIA ERT, scores points for both the CNR and the CRCM.
This means that, if you run with different cars for each championship, you can choose, for thoses rallies, any of the cars you register for these championships. You will score points for the overall championships, however for the class championship, you will only score points for the class of the used car.
As in reality, not all the results are accounted for the standings tables. In the CNR, only the seven best of nine results will be summed up, in CRRA it will be accounted the six best results, and in CRCM only seven out of eight events will be counted.
We will be implementing a unusual feature for these championships. Since some rally are quite long, having up to 19 stages, and doing more than an hour of rally in a single run is a bit harsh, we will split the some events into separated rbr.cz plugin tournaments, representing rally “days”. All drivers must run all the given days of the rally, and we will provide a final rally standings table, summing the times of all "days". If a driver forgets to run a "day" he will be considered retired from that rally. For each rally we will provide a roadbook, informing the stages, weather and number of rally "days", as well as their respective links.
As for the Teams Championships, we will use the same regulations we used in the R2 Cup 2017. Each team can have up to 3 drivers, and only the two highest ranked drivers score points. However, since these are multiclass championships, we will be adding a new rule: R5, R4 and RGT cars will score points though the overall standings, and R3, R2 and R1 drivers will score team points though the two wheel drive standings chart. This means that teams must think wisely their line-up, since a two wheel drive car might bring home more team points than a four wheel drive car.
This brief guide summarizes the main novelties for the championships that we are starting. All pilots should consult the regulations. If you have any questions about our championships, feel free to use our Facebook group, or our Forum. See you on stage.
